Larry Smith addresses the motivational issues intrinsic to people, but does not address the extrinsic organisational structures that engender withholding behaviours….why should a person put all this passion into their life/job, just to have their boss picking up the recognition and reward? In reality is it is difficult to find an organisational model that encourages people to realise their true ‘passion’ and, if successful, to give them the recognition and reward for doing so.
